Christmas

gathering

space for grief amidst the festive frenzy

December 12th & 19th | 7 - 9pm CET | online | €12

The emphasis on joy, family and togetherness can make Christmas a tough time of year when you’re walking around noticing all the ways in which nothing is the same, acutely aware of everything and everyone that should be, but isn’t.

Grief often doesn’t get a seat at the table this time of year. The expectation is to be merry and bright, positive and grateful. Yet this is also the time our grief can feel heaviest, everywhere we turn a reminder of our loss.

These Christmas grief circles, held on two consecutive Thursday evenings, are a space to share both about what feels heavy and challenging, and about what used to be - the person and memories we treasure. They offer space to pause in the middle of the end of year frenzy and take a moment to sit with ourselves, our grief, and each other.

Practical Details

  • These circles will consist of 12 people at most and will be held online.

  • After registering, you will receive a request to fill out a short form in which you can share what your needs and desires are for these circles. I will adjust the structure of the circles based on your shared replies.

  • These circles are English spoken, unless we happen to have a fully Dutch group in which case we’ll switch to Dutch.
